Abstract: The iron concentrate produced by a highsulfur copper ore mine in Jiangxi has a fineness of -75 μm accounting for 72.51%,and the iron grade is only 62.36%,but the sulfur content is as high as 187%.Sulfur mainly exists in the form of pyrrhotine and pyrite.Magnetite and pyrrhotine or pyrite have varying degrees of metasomatism, continuous growth or trap.In order to solve the problem of high sulfur content in iron ore concentrate, reverse flotation desulfurization test was carried out.The results show that the sample is processed by two reverse flotation rough separation processes with a regrind fineness of -45 μm accounting for 7068%.The rough flotation 1 sodium fluorosilicate dosage is 300 g/t,amylxanthate dosage is 250 g/t,2# oil dosage is 30 g/t,and the rough flotation 2 sodium fluorosilicate dosage is 100 g/t,amylxanthate dosage is 100 g/t,2# oil dosage is 10 g/t.The final iron content of the concentrate is increased to 6403%,and the sulfur content is reduced to 039%,which solves the problem of high iron content in the iron concentrate.
