Abstract: 1∶10 000 galvanic sweep measurement was on a copper deposit in Dete Area of Zimbabwe is carried out.The polarizability and resistivity of rock (ore) in the mining area were measured and interpreted respectively. The results show that the types of rocks (minerals) in the mining area are relatively simple, and the difference in electricity rent rate is not large. The difference in polarizability is mainly caused by the plagioclase of malachite, pyrite mineralization, and chalcopyrite in the surface silicified fracture zone, and the relatively low resistivity is caused by the mineralized silicified fracture zone, and these are considered good prospecting directions.
