Abstract: In order to analyze the coal seam outcrop of some a mine area in Xinjiang,3D seismic exploration technique is used to forecast the coal seam outcrop. The field seismic data is acquired by using the advanced digital seismic equipment, the high-fold observation system is adopted to get field data with quality, based on the principle of "high signal to noise ratio, high resolution and high fidelity",the field high data is processed.According to the intersected position of unconformity between the reflection of coal floor and the bottom interface of Cenozoic, and combined with the seismic inversion section, the coal seam outcrop is predicted, and the prediction results is basically consistent with the drilling verification results. The study results indicated that is is feasible to prediction the coal seam outcrop by using 3D seismic exploration technique.
