Abstract: There is 47.44% iron in an oolitic hematite from the Middle East.Iron mainly exist in form of magnetite, distribution rate of iron in magnetite is 60.26%.To provide technique basis for development and utilization of the ore, stage grinding stage magnetic separation process was conducted in the experiment. The result shows that at the first stage grinding fineness of 80.8% passing 0.074 mm,first magnetic separation magnetic field intensity of 0.12 T,second stage grinding fineness of 93.3% passing 0.074 mm,second magnetic separation magnetic field intensity of 0.8 T,third stage grinding fineness of 95.2% passing 0.074 mm,third magnetic separation magnetic field intensity of 0.4 T,iron concentrate with iron grade of 61.02% and recovery of 53.25% was obtained. The separation and enrichment of iron and impurity minerals can be effectively realized.
