Abstract: Maozu Lead—zinc Deposit is located in the eastern margin of Western Yangtze Para—platform, which is a large deposit of northeast Yunnan ore—concentrating area in Sichuan—Yunnan—Guizhou Pb—Zn metallogenic province.Based on the previous study results, the metallogenic geological background geological characteristics of the deposit, the ore—occurred strata are analyzed, the metallogenic regularity is discussed, besides that, the deposit mechanism is studied. The study results show that:①Maozu mining area has inherited the regional geological characteristics, the outcrop layer is abundant, the orebodies (mineralized bodies) are occurred in Dengying Formation of Upper Sinian, and the ore—bearing rock is dolomite;②the tectonic framework of the mining area is complex, orebodies are strictly controlled by north—east structures, the secondary faults have enrichment effect on mineralization;③the deposit developed three kinds of orebody (mineralization),including stratiform—like orebody, vein orebody and irregular orebody, the stratiform—like orebody has occurred in axis/alar part, which characterized by stable occurrence, regular morphology and thick—large scale, and the orebody has occurred anticlinal shafts/wings;④the ore—hosting strata, surrounding rock lithology, fold structure and secondary tectonic (plumose fractures) are the significant ore—controlling factors, which proved that Maozu Lead—zinc Deposit belongs to the trinity hydrothermal—sedimentary type deposit.
