Abstract: Tiechang Ti—Fe Placer Deposit is located in Luquan fault—concave of Yangtze Para—platform,which is characterized by superior metallogenic condition,favorable exploration and low exploration degree.Through detail analysis of the geological working results of area and deposit,the regional metallogenic geological background,geological characteristics of the mining area and the deposit are summarized,besides that,the prospecting criteria is also discussed.The research results show that:①Ordovician,Cambrian and residual/slope of sediments of Quaternary are occurred in the mining area,the residual and slope of sediments of Quaternary is the mainly ore—hosting strata,which lithology are mainly for clayey silt,gravel soil and sand soil of diabase;②affected by the regional tectonics activities,the mining area is characterized by fault development,and the alar part and the center part have closely related to the mineralization;③the orebodies (mineralization) are mainly occurred in the flat area with diabase rock mass,which is strictly controlled by rockmass,there is a positive correlation between the sale of orebodies and the thickness of weathered crust;④Tiechang Ti—Fe Placer Deposit belongs to the residual/slope sediments weathering—crust type deposit,the outcrop of placer mineral (titanium placer,magnetite),bleaching—sand and the mechanical halo dispersion can be regarded as favorable prospecting criterias for finding the placer,and gently hillside,erosive platform and erosive terrace are the favorable destribution positions for rich deposit.
