Abstract: In order to study the distribution of air pressure in the shaft when the hoisted container with rope guide running , and get the lateral aerodynamic force, the process of hoisted container running in the shaft and the variation of air flow field are simulated by the computing software FLUENT. From the study, we can get that the air pressure distribution in X direction is approximately symmetrical, in Y direction changes intensely, and the force is inclined to sidewall before the ships meeting, changes intensely at meeting, and after meeting it returns to the state before meeting. Research shows that the steady aerodynamic force is the main factor to calculate the lateral displacement caused by air flow. The research can support the calculation of lateral displacement caused by air flow, and give a new way to determine the safety clearance in rope-guided shaft.
