Abstract: Grinding-high field gradient high intensity magnetic separation and roasting-low intensity magnetic separation were carried out on a siderite, for its simplicity of mineral composition and structure, naturally low iron grade, etc. Iron concentrate with iron grade of 42.14%, iron recovery of 70.08% could achieved with grinding-high field gradient high intensity magnetic separation, while using roasting-low intensity magnetic separation can obtain iron concentrate with iron grade of 63.21%, iron recovery of 92.62%, So roasting-low intensity magnetic separation was an effective process for dealing with this siderite.
