Abstract: Tests about mica recovery on a certain iron ore tailing, with mica content of 20.34% and have industrial recovery value, was conducted. High purity mica was achieved by desliming-alkaline floatation, with the concentrate of the content of mica mineral is more than 96%, and the recovery rate is about 10%, the content of K₂O is 7.93%. The promotion of this process can effective reduce the emission of tailings, and have great economic and social benefits.
