Abstract: Pretreatment technology of As and S bearing gold ore is still an important area of concern, for improving the recovery of gold, reducing costs, meeting environmental requirements and designing the best process have a great significance. The recent As and S bearing gold ore pretreatment situation at home and abroad is outlined, and research achievements on roasting of arsenic, sulfur and gold, wet chemical treatment, pressure oxidation and bacterial oxidation are described respectively. Also future direction of development is proposed.
