    Geothermal Resource Reserves Calculation and Development and Utilization Suggestions of Yonghan Geothermal Field in Longmen County

    The Yonghan Geothermal Field is located in Yonghan Town, Longmen County, Guangdong Province. It is divided into two thermal anomaly areas, Maxing and Gebei. Through geological survey, geo⁃ physical exploration, geothermal drilling, depressurization test and temperature measurement, the geother⁃ mal geological conditions of the Yonghan geothermal field were basically identified. It is calculated that the geothermal resource reserve of Yonghan geothermal field is 9 925 m3/d, and the average water temperature is 57.8 °C.The concentration of metasilicic acid and fluorine in the geothermal water resources of the local hot field reaches the standard of named mineral water concentration, which can be named as silicon water and fluorine water, and has medical value. It is proposed that the development and utilization direction of geothermal resources in this geothermal field is mainly hot spring physiotherapy and bathing. The design, production and construction scale is 8 932 m3/d, and the service life is tentatively set as 10 a. The scope of the three-level protection zone of the local geothermal field is delineated, which provides a geological basis for the development and utilization of geothermal resources and the protection of geological environment.

    Research and Practice of Full Tailings Cemented Filling for Reducing Ratio of Cement to Sand in Longqiao Mining

    In order to reduce the cost of full tailings cement filling,research and practice on the in⁃ fluence of the reduction of the ratio of cement to sand on the compressive strength of the backfill were car⁃ ried out by optimizing cementing agent in Longqiao Mining. The results showed that under the condition of ensuring the filling strength,the optimization of the cementing agent could reduce the ratio of cement to sand from 1∶6 to 1∶8 and the amount of cement by 36.2 kg per cubic meter of filling. The cost of filling ma⁃ terials on average per year saved by 10.86 million yuan. The following studies also showed that the ratio of cement to sand can be further reduced to 1∶10,the amount of cement can be reduced by 23.04 kg per cu⁃ bic meter of filling,and the production cost also will be further reduced.

    Study on Process Mineralogy of a Coastal Zirconium-Titanium Placer in Mozambique

    In order to promote the industrial test of a coastal zircon-titanium placer in Mozambique, the process mineralogy of chemical composition,particle size composition and beneficiation process charac⁃ teristics of valuable minerals were studied. The results show that there are many kinds of valuable minerals in the ore sand,mainly includ ilmenite,zircon,rutile,iron-bearing rutile and monazite. Due to the vari⁃ ety of valuable minerals and complex physical properties,it is difficult to separate them. The particle size of sand in the ore sand is mainly 0.10~0.50 mm,and the particle size of valuable minerals is mainly -0.30 mm,which is finely distributed,with uniform particle size and narrow particle size range. The valuable minerals in the ore sand have good natural dissociation,and the target minerals such as ilmenite,white ti⁃ tanium,rutile,zircon,and monazite are basically single particles,which can be separated without grind⁃ ing.

    In the detailed hydrogeological work of Shimangkeng Gold Mine,the methods of steady flow pumping and water injection are used to obtain the permeability coefficient of the aquifer respectively. By analyzing the difference between the two test results,a reasonable permeability coefficient is deter⁃ mined,which provides a basis for the prediction of water inflow. The reasons for the large difference in per⁃ meability coefficient are the small amount of water,the short duration of pumping,and the inconsistency of test sections. Referring to the empirical value of the permeability coefficient of sandstone and siltstone,the permeability coefficient of the water injection test is selected,and the large-well method is used to predict the mine water inflow,and the calculated mine water inflow is 166 m3/d.

    Reasonable mining methods are the key to safe mining of ore bodies under complex engi⁃ neering geological conditions. In view of the complex engineering geological conditions of the residual ore body in the transition section of an underground iron mine,which is overlying the caving body and below the filling body,combined with the existing production technical conditions of the mine,four alternative mining methods are preliminarily selected,namely,upward horizontal layered filling method,upward route filling method,segmented open field subsequent filling method,and non-pillar segmented caving method. The grey correlation method was used to comprehensively consider a number of technical indica⁃ tors,and the correlation degrees of four alternative mining methods were calculated. The results were 0.508,0.437,0.524 and 0.644,respectively. Thus,the non-pillar sublevel caving method was deter⁃ mined as the best alternative method.

    Chengchao Iron Mine adopts non-pillar sublevel caving method and BQ-100 type charg⁃ ing device. The labor intensity of workers is high, the level of mechanization is low, and the blasting quality is unstable. In order to improve the level of mechanized operation, reduce the labor intensity of workers and improve the blasting quality, Chengchao Iron Mine introduced Charmec MC 605 DA charging trolley. Through the underground medium and deep hole charging blasting test, it is determined that the reasonable allocation of workers for the charging trolley is 4, and the applicable explosive is rock expanded ammonium nitrate explosive. The optimum technological parameters are as follows: the water content of explosive is controlled at about 5%, the pressure in tank is 0.50~0.55 MPa, the boost air pressure is 0.40~0.42 MPa, the pipe withdrawal speed is 0.30~0.34 m/s, and the powder return rate is controlled at about 10%. By compar⁃ ing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the two kinds of charging equipment, the mecha⁃ nized operation level and safety of the charging trolley are higher than those of the BQ-100 type charging device, which reduces the labor intensity of workers and increases the excellent rate of blasting quality by 3%. The charging trolley has a certain reference significance for similar mines in China to realize the mech⁃ anization and automation of upward medium and deep hole charging.

    Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Indicators of Fenghuangkeng Silica Deposit in Jiangxi

    Fenghuangkeng silica deposit is a medium-sized silica deposit discovered in Jiangxi Prov⁃ ince in recent years. In order to find out the ore-controlling factors of the silica deposit,the geological char⁃ acteristics of the deposit are analyzed and the prospecting criteria are analyzed. The results show that the Fenghuangkeng silica ore consists of two ore bodies,occurring in the NNE tectonic fracture zone. The shape and occurrence of the ore body are strictly controlled by the tectonic fracture zone. Ore minerals are quartz,microcrystalline,fine-grained structure,mainly block structure,followed by crystalline holes, crystal clusters,breccia and so on. The ore type is dense massive quartzite type. The Fenghuangkeng silica mine is a hydrothermal filling deposit controlled by faults. The prospecting criteria are NE-trending and NNE-trending large faults,Yanshanian acidic granite bodies and protruding positive terrain ( ridges ).

    In order to provide guidance for the efficient development and utilization of spodumene ore resources in China,based on the conclusion about the ores composition,texture,structure,main mineral embedded characteristics for the spodumene ore in China,the influence of process mineralogy characteris⁃ tics on flotation was further analyzed. The results showed that the spodumene ores of Songpan-Garze lithi⁃ um mineralization belt and Altay lithium mineralization belt have higher Li2O grade,and their structures are mainly massive structure. The embedded particle sizes are coarse,which is conducive to obtaining bet⁃ ter flotation indexes. The spodumene ores in Qinling lithium mineralization belt and Southern China lithium mineralization belt have lower Li2O grade,and their embedded particle sizes are fine. Therefore,it is diffi⁃ cult to develop the ores and production cost is larger. According to the process mineralogy characteristics of spodumene in China,it is suggested to pay more attention to the efficient and comprehensive utilization of spodumene in Sichuan and Xinjiang.

    Study on Metallogenic Geological Characteristics and Metallogenic Potential of Longtiangou Man⁃ ganese Deposit

    The Longtiangou manganese deposit in Lingshou County,Hebei Province has only sparse work on Mn2,Mn3 and Mn5 mineralized bodies,and the direction and depth of the mineralized bodies are unclear. This paper focuses on the geological conditions of Mn2,Mn3 and Mn5 mineralization bodies,and evaluates the metallogenic potential of manganese deposits in this area. There are four mineralized bodies in the Longtiangou manganese deposit,which occur in the Paleoproterozoic Linshan Formation and the Qing⁃ tong Formation. They are layered,lenticular,and angular,which are basically consistent with the occur⁃ rence of surrounding rocks. Mn1,Mn2,Mn3 mineralization bodies have small scale and high grade. The Mn5 mineralization zone is large in scale and low in grade. The analysis shows that the deposit is small and the metallogenic potential is not good. At the same time,it is considered that the prospecting prospect of this type of manganese deposit is not good.
