Abstract: The Longtiangou manganese deposit in Lingshou County,Hebei Province has only sparse work on Mn2,Mn3 and Mn5 mineralized bodies, and the direction and depth of the mineralized bodies are unclear. This paper focuses on the geological conditions of Mn2,Mn3 and Mn5 mineralization bodies, and evaluates the metallogenic potential of manganese deposits in this area. There are four mineralized bodies in the Longtiangou manganese deposit, which occur in the Paleoproterozoic Linshan Formation and the Qing⁃ tong Formation. They are layered, lenticular, and angular, which are basically consistent with the occur⁃ rence of surrounding rocks. Mn1,Mn2,Mn3 mineralization bodies have small scale and high grade. The Mn5 mineralization zone is large in scale and low in grade. The analysis shows that the deposit is small and the metallogenic potential is not good. At the same time,it is considered that the prospecting prospect of this type of manganese deposit is not good.
