Abstract: Aiming at the high efficient copper-suppressing agent sodium cyanide existing problems that highly toxic, indissolubility of the residue in water, great pollution to environment,a 25-day industrial test was conducted by using a low-toxic sodium thioglycolate instead of sodium cyanide in sandaozhuang molybdenum-tungsten polymetallic ore dressing plant.By adjusting the amount of sodium thioglycolate with different unit consumption, the change of copper impurity content in the concentrate was detected.A series of problems existing in the test were analyzed. The problems of sodium thioglycolate used in the process of copper and molybdenum separation flotation that should be noted were pointed out, some suggestions and opinions on the industrial test of sodium thioglycolate were given.
