Abstract: To enhance the dewatering rate of fine coal slurry, based on the application of the highpressure diaphragm filter press, the design of an optimization method for the fine coal slurry dewatering process was carried out. Key operational parameters such as feed concentration, pressure ramp curve, dia⁃ phragm pressing pressure, and pressing duration based on the operational characteristics of high-pressure diaphragm filter presses were optimized. For the compacted cake-like filter cake formed after dewatering, a pre-treatment process integrating mechanical crushing, disintegration, and preliminary homogenization was designed. By reasonably selecting and optimizing the crushing equipment, working parameters, and conveying methods, the large filter cakes were transformed into loose and wet granular materials with basi⁃ cally uniform particle size. A "pressure filtration-crushing" collaborative dewatering process system was constructed. Through process connection optimization, waste heat utilization, and parameter matching, the deep dewatering goal was achieved. The practical results show that after the application of the design scheme, the moisture content of the filter cake is reduced to below 18%,while before the application of the optimized process, the moisture content of the filter cake was more than 22%. This indicates that the application of the optimized process can achieve good results.
