Abstract: The contents of zinc and molybdenum in a zinc-molybdenum ore dressing plant in Hebei Province are 0.85% and 0.12%,respectively. In view of the low recovery index of molybdenum and zinc in the original on-site process flow,zinc-molybdenum mixed flotation and separation process is proposed to treat the ore. The results show that under the condition of grinding fineness of - 0.074 mm accounting for 65%,with CuSO4 as activator, butyl xanthate and kerosene as collector, via one roughing two scavenging Mo-Zn mixed flotation, first stage concentrate was reground to - 0.043 mm accounting for 82%. After two stages of blank cleaning, the concentrate is treated with CuSO4 as activator,ZnSO4 + Na2SO3 as inhibitor and sodium silicate as dispersant. After one roughing, five cleaning and one scavenging cleaning separa⁃ tion, the molybdenum concentrate with molybdenum grade of 38.65% and recovery of 75.05% is finally ob⁃ tained. The zinc grade of zinc concentrate is 45.68% and the recovery rate is 73.09%. The zinc-molybdenum mixed flotation and separation process significantly improves the metal recovery rate and concentrate quali⁃ ty,which can provide a reference for the separation of similar ores.
