There are many factors affecting the quality of rock mass.In the classification of rock mass quality,there are some problems,such as incomplete consideration of factors,strong subjectivity and diffi⁃ culty in comparative analysis between different factors,which affect the accuracy.The biggest advantage of the matter-element extension analysis method is that it can comprehensively analyze different factors and de⁃ termine the target from the qualitative and quantitative perspectives.In view of the rock mass quality evalua⁃ tion of a mine,the rock mass quality evaluation system is established based on the matter-element extension analysis method. By determining the classical domain,the nodal domain,the matter-element to be evaluat⁃ ed and the weight,the quality evaluation of the rock mass is completed.The results show that the evaluation results of rock mass quality by this method are close to the engineering rock mass classification standard, which proves the rationality and accuracy of the method.At the same time,the entropy weight method is more objective to determine the weight,and the matter-element extension analysis method reduces the influ⁃ ence of incomplete consideration and expert subjectivity in the analysis.
