When the 8310 working face in No.3 District of Tashan Coal mine crosses F7 fault,there are some technical problems,such as large amount of rock breaking,serious loss of coal pillar,high failure rate of shearer,low strength of support and difficult maintenance of roof in fault area. Through the field tech⁃ nology research,the main problems in the mining process in the early stage of crossing fault are analyzed, and the technology of oblique + rotation mining is put forward,and the combined support technology of grouting reinforcement + artificial false roof + flexible fiber mesh is adopted for the roof of inclined section. The actual application results show that after the optimization of mining technology,the rock breaking vol⁃ ume is reduced by 2 411 m3 ,the coal pillar recovery is increased by 7 500 t,and the failure rate of shearer is reduced to 2.7%. After adopting the combined support technology,the roof leakage phenomenon in the fault area is controlled,the roof subsidence is controlled below 0.17 m,the working resistance of the sup⁃ port is increased to 95%,and the working face is ensured to pass the fault area safely and quickly.
