Abstract: High-quality large flake graphite has high application value and economic value. In order to prevent the fragmentation of large flake graphite，the stage grinding flotation-pre-separation process of a large flake graphite ore in Tanzania was studied. The +0.15 mm large flake graphite concentrate was ob⁃ tained by screening，and the high carbon fine-grained graphite concentrate was obtained by stage grinding and cleaning of -0.15 mm graphite. The fixed carbon grade of large flake graphite was 96.04% and the re⁃ covery rate was 55.84%. The fixed carbon grade of fine-grained graphite was 95.43% and the recovery rate was 38.73%. The total recovery rate of concentrate was 94.57%. The process effectively protects the integri⁃ ty of graphite flakes and improves the yield of large flakes.
