Abstract: In order to improve the prevention and control level of mine water disaster and promote the development and application of metal mine water disaster monitoring and early warning technology, firstly, the formation factors of water inrush in metal mines from three aspects: water inrush source, water inrush channel and water inrush intensity are analyzed, and it is pointed out that it is necessary to monitor the indicators related to the formation factors of water inrush, which is conducive to the formation of effective water disaster monitoring and early warning. Then, the present situation of water disaster monitoring and early warning research in metal mines in recent ten years from three aspects of water disaster monitoring index, monitoring and early warning model and system are summarized. It is pointed out that there are simple monitoring indexes and few theoretical studies on monitoring and early-warning models in the existing metal mine water disaster monitoring and early-warning, and some monitoring systems also do not have the actual function of early warning of mine water inrush. Finally, combined with the application results of water disas⁃ ter monitoring and early warning research in mines, the prospect is made from the aspects of in-depth research on water disaster mechanism, monitoring and early warning models, and monitoring methods and equipment.
