Abstract: There are deterministic and non-deterministic factors affecting slope stability. At present, various analysis and evaluation methods have their own characteristics and applicability. In order to facilitate the reasonable evaluation of the stability of the slope in the project and select the appropriate method quickly and accurately, this paper analyzes the principles, conditions and applicable types of several classical and commonly used slope evaluation methods according to the degree of certainty of the analysis factors. There are many factors related to slope stability, which are interrelated and interact with each other. The main stability influencing factors of slopes under different types of conditions are different. Before using the uncertain evaluation method to evaluate,it is necessary to excavate the influence factors suitable for the object to be evaluated more carefully. Coupling deterministic and non-deterministic methods can achieve a combination of advantages,so as to solve problems more accurately.
