Abstract: In order to explore the mechanical characteristics and curing mechanism of cement stabilized iron tailings base with mineral admixtures, the mechanical parameters and microscopic characteristics of cement-steel slag-mineral powder mixed stabilized iron tailings were obtained through macro-mechanical test, and compared with cement mixed stabilized iron tailings alone. The results show that when the cement content is 14%,the 7-day unconfined compressive strength of cement-steel slag-mineral powder mixed with stabilized iron tailings is greater than that of the sole cement mixed test group. Increasing the content of cement or mineral powder can improve the unconfined compressive strength of cement-steel slagmineral powder mixed stabilized iron tailings for 7 days, while the increase of steel slag content has an inhib⁃ itory effect. The reinforcement effect of confining pressure on cement-steel slag-mineral powder mixed with stabilized iron tailings is more palpable than that of cement stabilized iron tailings, with almost the same cohesion and larger internal friction angle.
