Abstract: An arsenicbearing copper ore in Shaanxi Province contains 0.74% copper,0.43% arsenic and 1.54% sulphur. The main useful minerals are chalcopyrite, chalcocite, and the impurity minerals are arsenopyrite, and pyrite. The complex dissemination relationship of copper and arsenic are closely combined and fine encapsulated among many minerals cause great difficulty of copper ore to be liberated. The beneficiation experiment was carried out and the test results showed that good indexes could be obtained.Using the preferential flotation flow and the lime as the inhibitor to suppressing arsenic and floating copper, the ideal copper concentrate contained 25.27% Cu,0.085% As ,0.23 g/t Au and 40.52 g/t Ag with copper recovery of 92.72%,and flotation tailing contained 0.053% Cu was obtained respectively. The results of the copper concentrate grade up to the national level six standard shows that the process is feasible.
