Abstract: In order to solve the problem of enrichment of magnetic minerals in dry and water-deficient areas,a new kind of air force dry magnetic separator for powdery minerals is developed, with large wrap angle, multiple magnetic poles, high magnetic field strength and high rotary speed, which can realize dry pre—separation of 5~0 mm powdery magnetite and efficient dry magnetic separation of fine powdered magnetite. The test research shows that:① For the de—phosphorization product from KBH of South Africa with Fe grade of 51.75%,particle size of -1 mm and moisture content of 3% to 5%,through one process of FX0665 type air force dry magnetic separator for powdery minerals, iron concentrate with Fe grade of 61.05% and recovery of 90.85% is obtained.② For the -2 mm sample (Fe grade 60.76%) of an iron ore from Hami,Xinjiang, through FX0665 type air force dry magnetic separator for powdery minerals, iron concentrate with Fe grade of 64.53% and recovery of 95.02% is obtained; after the samples are ground to 70% -0.074 mm and through dry magnetic separation, iron concentrate with Fe grade of 68.10% and recovery of 95.70% is obtained.③ For an iron ore tailing from Bagang of Xinjiang with Fe grade of 15.31%,through FX0665 type air force dry magnetic separator for powdery minerals, iron concentrate with Fe grade of 52.31% and recovery of 12.71% is obtained. The testwork research shows that the air force dry magnetic separator for powdery minerals has strong adaptability to different ores, and it is an efficient equipment for enriching magnetic minerals in dry or water—deficient areas.
