Abstract: The karst development and the serious threat of Karst water damage in the Wachangping Bauxite Mine. The bauxite layer is a low-resistance medium in the case of a relatively high-resistance surrounding rock. A variety of geophysical methods have been tested. By designing a reasonable mine transient electromagnetic and radio wave perspective technique, the corresponding apparent resistivity contours are drawn. The cross-sectional view and the contour map of the electromagnetic wave absorption attenuation coefficient define the karst area inside the working face. The results show that the karst development area is a low-resistance reaction in the results of the transient electromagnetic method,and it is a high-absorption area of electromagnetic waves in the radio wave perspective results. The results of the two methods are consistent with the location of the Karst development, which can effectively evaluate the working surface.Karst development and its water-conducting condition.
