Uranium Metallogenic Characteristics and Prospecting Direction in Sheling Area of Xiazhuang Ore Field

Abstract: Sheling Area is located in the northeastern Jiangxi Province of Xiazhuang Ore Field.In the stratum of the area,there is a series of Sinian-Cambrian metamorphic rocks,mainly revealing Yanshanian granites.The basic dykes are occurred by rock walls,and the fault structures are well developed,four structures such as NNE-trending,NEE-trending,NW-trending and EW-trending structures are developed in the area,the spatial distribution of uraniummineralized) orebodies are controlled by them.Sheling Uranium Depositconsist of 307,308 and 617 mineral occurrence) and 410,310 and 105 mineral occurrence are distributed in the area.The uranium mineralization is mainly occurred in Yanshanian fine unequal muscovite granites and medium coarse-grained porphyritic biotite granites.The uraniummineralized) orebodies are jointly controlled by fault structures,granite bodies,basic dykes and partial unconformity tectonic surface.Based on the geological results of the area,the uranium metallogenic geological characteristics and ore-controlling factors are discussed,besides that,the prospecting directions of Sheling Uranium Depositconsist of 307,308 and 617 mineral occurrence) and 410,310,and 105 mineral occurrence are stduied,so as to provide some reliable reference for the further uranium deposit prospecting work in Sheling Area.
