Abstract: Combing with the geological prospecting resutls of Sanhetun mining area of Horqin Right Front Banner in Inner Mongolia,the regional metallogenic geological background is discussed,the characteristics of strata,magmatic activity,structures and geochemical anomalies of the mining area are analyzed emphatically.Baed on the mineralization characteristics of Sn-polymetallic and Ag-polymetallic orebodies of the mining area,the comprehensive analysis indicated that the metallogenic type of the deposit is hydrothermal deposit associated with magmatism,metallogenic process is controlled by tectonics and intrusive rocks.Based on the above discussion results,the prospecting directions of the mining area is analyzed,it is show that the favorable metallogenic part is the contact zone of granite and Permian strata,especially for the location where the contace zone overlaps with the fracture structures,which deep prospecting potential is large.
