Abstract: Nb and Ta are the important rare elements,they are the relatively scarce metal mineral resources in our country.Taking a NbTa deposit in Western Guangdong Province as the study example,combing with the geological working results in the mining area,the regional geological background and geological characteristics of the deposit are discussed,besides that,the prospecting indicators of the deposit are summarized.The study results show that the favorable prospecting indicator of the deposit are structures,pegmatite,alteration and characteristics of rock veins and orebody veins,strata and surface outcrop.
