Abstract: The stirred mill is a kind of fine grinding equipment with such merit as higher grinding efficiency, simpler technology, more even size distribution, lower energy, etc. than ball mill, which is widely used in mineral processing. The working principle of stirred mill were introduced, several representative types of stirred mill and each characteristics and application status were analyzed, the development status of stirred mill and its application in mineral processing of metal mine were reviewed. The stirred mill is used economically to improve the grinding efficiency and objective mineral liberation degree.
