Abstract: As new emerging minerals, bentonite has been widely used in food, chemical, pharmaceutical and other fields, and high purity bentonite has more added values. Summarize the bentonite purification process and methods, point out the process and equipment, purification principles, purification effectiveness and existing problems of different methods, discuss the main progress of research on bentonite purification method, and summaries the commonly used technology, influence factors and universality of application. On the basis of this, the prospect on preparation study of high purity bentonite was conducted.
