Abstract: Ningnan iron ore belongs to low magnetic oolitic hematite with low Fe grade and high content of impurities such as SiO2, Al2O3, which can not be used directly.By adopting the process of coarse grinding-low intensity magnetic separation- fine grinding-demagnetizing-low intensity magnetic separation, Fe concentrate with Fe grade of 56.31% and the recovery of 80.89% was achieved, but the content of SiO2, Al2O3 are still relatively high. Then, through the reverse flotation tests with different agents and the close-circuit tests, final iron concentrate with TFe grade of 58.65% and recovery of 87.01%, and total recovery of 70.04% was achieved. The experimental results show that the process above is great feasible and can be used as reference for the beneficiation of oolitic hematite.
