Abstract: Nanfen open-pit mine now begin the third phase of expanding rib and the fourth phase of exploitation engineering. Engineering geological condition of mining area is complicated, and it mainly consists of green mudstone which has the characteristic of strength decreases sharply when meet water. Joint of the rock of the mining area is finely developed, in addition the frequently production blasting vibration, much slope have crack, slump, rolling stones. Finally, based on the theory that sliding force is greater than the anti-sliding force is the necessary and sufficient condition to occur the landslide as the sliding criterion, the principle and method for sliding force remote monitoring is presented, and a kind of systemic landslide remote monitoring network is established in the landslides of Nanfen Open-pit Mine. After 10 months site test, it shows that landslide monitoring system is scientific and practical.
