Abstract: In order to deal with the waste refractory materials produced by the annual repair of the blowing furnace in the concentrator of Heilongjiang Zijin Copper Co.，Ltd.，the laboratory test and field test of separating waste refractory materials by flotation are carried out，and the process optimization is car⁃ ried out according to the field test results.The experimental results show that the copper in waste refractory can be effectively separated by using hydrocyclone and common flotation equipment without other gravity separation equipment. In actual production，the excellent indexes of copper concentrate grade of 24.49% and copper recovery rate of 89.56% are obtained.After the initial production，the process improvement test is carried out. After the improvement process，an excellent index of concentrate copper grade of 26.57% and copper recovery of 91.62% is obtained.
