Study on Optimization of Key Parameters of Roof Cutting and Pressure Relief in Gob-side Entry Retaining in Jinda Coal Mine

Abstract: Aiming at the problems of large displacement of roof and floor and two sides of gob-side en‐ try retaining roadway and stress concentration of roadway,taking 12101 thin coal seam working face of Jinda Coal Mine as the background,the theoretical minimum values of roof cutting height and angle are obtained by theoretical calculation. Secondly,in order to further optimize the derivation results,FLAC3D numerical simulation software is used to simulate the roof cutting and retaining roadway under different key parameters. The results show that the stress state of the surrounding rock of the roadway can be effectively optimized by implementing the 18 m roof cutting height and the 10 ° roof cutting and retaining method. Compared with the vertical roof cutting,the roof cutting angle of 10 ° can reduce the roof subsidence by 22.8 %. Through theo‐ retical analysis,numerical simulation and other means,it is found that in the range of 0~30 m from the working face,the deformation speed of the surrounding rock of the retaining roadway is faster,and then be‐ comes more gentle. At about 65 m,the deformation of the surrounding rock reaches stability,thus effective‐ ly controlling the deformation of the surrounding rock of the roadway,which provides some reference value for the retaining roadway in the working face under similar conditions.
