Risk Investigation and Evaluation of Geological Disasters in Dangtu County Based on ArcGIS

Geological disaster risk investigation and evaluation is an important method to prevent geo⁃
logical disasters and reduce risks.Through the combination of quantitative analysis and statistical evaluation
model by ArcGIS software,the susceptibility,risk and vulnerability of geological disasters in Dangtu Coun⁃
ty were evaluated,and the risk assessment of geological disasters was carried out accordingly.The survey
and evaluation results show that Dangtu County can be divided into risk,low risk and risk-free areas of geo⁃
logical disasters,which account for 1.40%,2.27% and 96.33% of whole county area respectively.The risk
areas of geological disasters in Dangtu County are mainly distributed in the middle and high hilly areas of
Baizhu Mountain and the south of Daqing Mountain.The evaluation results can provide technical support for
regional geological disaster prevention and risk prediction,land space planning and urban construction.
