Aiming at the problem of water disaster exploration in a coal mine working face,firstly,the hydrological and geological conditions in the area are analyzed. Then,according to the basic principle of transient electromagnetic method,the geophysical prospecting scheme of the working face is formulated, and the geophysical prospecting results are inverted and analyzed.The analysis results show that the water ac⁃ cumulation area on the upper part of the working face is located in the strike of 400~1 200 m,which is caused by the characteristics of the goaf of the overlying coal seam,which is low in the east and high in the west.After drilling,the boundary of the water accumulation area was verified,and the water accumulation area was determined to be 420~1 200 m along the strike of the working face. According to the analysis of the water outlet characteristics,the water source was determined to be goaf water.The drilling results are basical⁃ ly consistent with the geophysical results.
