Abstract: The Sangmuchang anticline in northern Guizhou is located at the intersection of the Bijie arcshaped fold belt and the Chishui craton basin in the northern uplift of the Upper Yangtze block,which belongs to the favorable leadzinc deposit metallogenic zone.The orebearing horizons of leadzinc deposits in the area mainly include the Sinian Dengying Formation,Cambrian Qingxudong Formation,Gaotai Formation,and Shilengshui Formation.Ore bodies are mostly produced in the anticline core and controlled by faults or fissures.Through comprehensive research on formation lithology characteristics,surface mineralization characteristics,volumecontrolling ore structure characteristics,geochemical anomaly characteristics,geophysical anomaly characteristics,etc.,the project is selected to be verified in favorable areas of mineralization,which can provide idelas for the next adeep prospecting work in Sangmuchang anticline leadzinc deposit.
