Abstract: Dongchuan Orefield is one of the most important metallogenic belts in China.Lanniping Copper Deposit is located in the north of Kunyang Rift, which characterized by complex origin and various shapes.Based on the modern metallogenic prediction theory,in combination with geological map, planar graph, prospecting line profile map and drilling data/pitting data, and by using DIMINE software, threedimensional models of the Baixila ore block of Lanniping Copper Deposit is established, which including surface model, stratigrapic model, fault model and orebody model. Then, reserve estimation by using the level section method and inverse distance weighted method are done. The study results show that the block model statistics method is applicable to a large scope and can obtain better results that the level section method. Moreover, the function of model constraint of DIMINE could be useful because it can estimate rapidly the resource of any given space range or within any given grade range. In addition,it can clearly reflect the variation features of ore grade values, and the calculation result can provide full information and data for resource reserve evaluation. The threedimensional geological modeling by using multivariate information has several advantages such as better visualization, high reliability, and can be used to analyze the geological structure of the mining area and deposit genesis, besides that,it is an effective means for the next step of geological exploraiton in mine.
