Abstract: Wuxuan Shidie Limestone Deposit is located in Tongling Town,Wuxuan County,Guangxi.It is a large limestone mine for cement.It occurs in the upper Carboniferous Lower Permian Maping formation,and its lithology is light gray medium thick bedded bioclastic microcrystalline limestone with a small amount of dolomite.The ore quality is stable,and it is a single grade I product.Based on the discussion of geological characteristics and genesis of the deposit,the evolution process of sedimentary environment and material source of the deposit is analyzed.It is considered that the limestone ore of Wuxuan Shidie Cement Deposit in Guangxi belongs to the shallow water open platform type shallow marine biochemical sedimentary carbonate deposit.
