    The property of high phosphorus oolitic hematite ore and difficulties in its dephosphorylation was introduced. The process of physics, direct reduction-magnetic separation, magnetic roasting-low intensity magnetic separation-reverse flotation, reverse floatation, leaching, smelting and other processes for dealing with these type of ore by domestic worker was outlined. The current problems and future endeavors of dephosphorization with this type of ore for now was summarized.

    According to geological situation of the Manjiazhai open-pit project, more representative rock-soil layer at west slope confirmed through field investigation, in-situ direct shear test was done by using artificial digging and soil-stone bags load method. Through analysis of experimental data, τ~ε curve obtained, shear strength σ~τ relationship curve and corresponding shear strength parameters cΦ value and correlation coefficient r were obtained by using least squares regression. The test indicates that in-situ direct shear test of west slope has the important value to slope stability evaluation of open pit and engineering optimization.

    Aimed at steep-thin vein of a gold mine, stress evolutionary processes of stope and surrounding rock were simulated by ANSYS and ABAQUS numerical simulation software when bilateral contact tunnel and unilateral contact tunnel to stope ore was used separately. Stress evolution result indicates that using bilateral contact road mining method is more beneficial to dilution, loss and safety management of mine than unilateral contact road.

    On the basis of using the same training and testing data, through simulating calculation done in MATLAB artificial neural network toolbox, similarities and differences, advantages and disadvantages of BP neural network, probabilistic neural network, learning vector quantization neural network and Elman neural network on pattern classification aspect were compared. Applicable conditions of these four kinds of neural network were analyzed. It provides useful reference for artificial neural network method in the application of rock mass quality classification.

    According to the structure parameters, orebody occurrences and occurrence condition of steeply inclined medium thick orebody stope of a domestic copper mine, stability of roof, the side pillar and surrounding rock of 1′03 stope which is located at middle part of -445 m of this mine are analyzed by adopt Mathews stability graphical method. It provides reliable basis for design optimization of structure parameters of stope.

    Systematic study on the property and processing of a low-grade magnesite from Haicheng in Liaoning province was conducted, aiming at its problems of high silicon, high calcium and high iron in mineral processing. The results showed that: the final magnesite concenrate with MgO content of 47.13%, CaO content of 0.21%, SiO2 content of 0.18%, Fe2O3 content of 0.30% and MgO recovery of 60.21% was fininally achieved by the process of desiliconizing with reverse flotation-decalcification and magnesite enrichment with positive flotation-iron removal with high intensity magnetic separation on a magnesite with high silicon, high calcium and high iron. The results not only reach the purpose of desiliconizing, decalcification and iron removal, but also have guiding significance for full utilization this type of magnesite.

    Reduce the content of SiO2 in iron ore concentrate become a necessity for Meishan iron ore, in order to well meet the smelting requirements of iron ore quality. Study was conducted with positive flotation and fine sieve-regrinding and strong magnetic process separately. The results showed that: both of the two process could ruduce the content of SiO2 to 4% in total concentrate, though recovery rate was lower, but the alkali ratio significantly increased, and the self-fluxing quality become better. Laboratory and industrial tests was suggested to continue, in order to provide reference basis for on-site process.

    Method of numerical simulation of open-pit mine slope was introduced, on the basis of strength reduction theory, stability condition of slope in south open-pit mine was simulated through establishment of geological model and using RFPA two dimension software. The related simulation results indicate that slip range of slope is extend from top of slope along the fracture zone, mudstone with coal seam and unconformity-oriented. Landslip gradually breaks away from deep surface of unconformity and moves along with the weak surface, and emerges shear failure which force direction is vertical to slope direction, eventually sliding failure which run-through bottom of the slope formed.

    Phenomenon of rock burst is serious after Linglong Gold Mine in process of deep development, so displacement monitoring was done on roof displacement of chamber in deep part of mining area. Single time displacement amount reduced with time go on, while the change amount was ±2 mm. Accumulated displacement amount increased with the time increasing, the trend slowed down. In the end, total amount of displacement is less than 20 mm.

    Based on the condition of mining tunnel of steep coal seam fully-mechanized face in a coal mine in Sichuan province, combined with observation results of pillars' support resistance in tunnel and deformation of tunnel, deformation features of mining tunnel in steep coal seam were analyzed. The related results indicate that the surrounding rock mass deformation of return airflow tunnel is larger than haulage drift. Meanwhile, surrounding rock mass deformation increases with the distance to working face decreases.

    Through the analysis of the instability mechanism, mining effect, physicochemical property of surrounding rock and floor failure characteristics of original U shape shed support of 1110 air-return way in the Xiayukou Coal Mine, the main reason which caused the unstable failure of surrounding rock is obtained. According to structure compensation principle, high stress broken seam tunnel shed-cable collaborative support technology is proposed. Through the test of deformation information of surrounding rock mass, it proves that this support technology effectively controls the surrounding rock mass deformation of tunnel.

    Safety production system of iron and steel enterprises is a grey system, so the grey correlation analysis method can be used to analyze the correlated factors of production accidents of iron and steel enterprises. Base on the accidents happened in national iron and steel enterprises between 2008 and 2012 and analysis of statistical data of each influence factors which caused the accidents could indicate, not implemented and imperfect of rules and regulations, not strict of enterprises management, labor discipline slack in workers; not enough education and training and in violation of the relevant laws and regulations of the state and not enough supervision are key factors which cause the accidents, the accident of iron and steel enterprises can be prevented or reduced through the control and management of key factors.
