Abstract: For the case of the overlying rock falling in the upper part of the mine, the FLAC3D numerical simulation technology was used to analyze the influencing factors of overburden collapse. The selected factors include the top exposed area, the buried depth, the shape of the top plate, and the lateral pressure coefficient. The results show that the volume of the plastic zone in the upper part of the goaf increases with the depth of the burial depth and the exposed area of the goaf. When the roof of the goaf is square, the volume of the plastic zone generated in the upper part of the goaf is the largest. The easiest to fall. With the increase of the pressure measurement coefficient, the volume of the plastic zone generated in the upper part of the goaf increases first and then decreases, and finally tends to be stable.
