Abstract: In order to recover ilmenite resources from an iron tailings in Panxi，based on the nature of the ore,the comparison of "two stage magnetic separationfloatation"and "slag separationtwo stage magnetic separationfloatation"is carried out,titanium concentrate with TiO2 grade higher than 47% can be obtained by opencircuit flotation in both processes,using the process of"slag separationtwo stage magnetic separationfloatation",concentrate yield and recovery rate index is better.On the basis of open circuit test in laboratory,closed circuit continuous flotation test is carried out,the results of the study showed,using the process of"slag separationtwo stage magnetic separationfloatation",under the condition of TiO2 grade of 9.59% in raw ore,titanium concentrate with 8.54% yield,46.13% TiO2 grade and 21.63% recovery was obtained.
