Abstract: Estimation of resources and reserve is an important task in mineral geological exploration.The skew cuneiform volume formula is suitable for calculating the volume of a block without tapered tip and without cuneiform tip.Taking Xilibei Iron Deposit in Shanxi Province as an example,based on analyzing the geological characteristics of the deposit,the skew cuneiform volume formula is used to estimate the resource reserves of the deposit,the geometric shape of skew cuneiform,and the volume formula is verified,so as to provide some reliable reference for improving the rationality and accuracy of the resources reserves estimation of some ore-bodies of the deposit.
