Application of Integrated Geophysical Exploration Method in the Uranium Deposit Prospecting in Xiazhuang Orefield

Abstract: Xiazhuang uranium orefield is the first granite type uranium orefield in China.A great deal of work is conducted in the shallow parts of the orefield,but the uranium deposits prospecting results related to the depth of the orefield is still relatively few.Many uranium deposits and ore (mineralization) points found in the orefield are strictly controlled by tectonic fractures and lithology boundary,further identification of the spatial distribution characteristics of the deep tectonic fractures,ore-bearing features and lithology boundary of the orefield is help for providing some reliable reference for the further uranium deposit prospecting work in the orefield.The detection effects of concealed fractures in the area with hard rock mass stratum by using audio-frequency magnetotellurics (AMT) is good,the application effects of the position reflection of the concealed structures in the surface and indication of the deep uranium mineralization information by adopting ground gamma ray spectrum measurement and RaA radon measurement are both ideal,so the integrated geophysical prospecting method (AMT,ground gamma ray spectrum measurement and RaA radon measurement) is used in the orefield to obtained deep prospecting information of uranium deposit (mineralization points).Through the comprehensive analysis of the ATM sounding inversion section, ground gamma ray spectrum measurement and RaA radon measurement results,and based on the geological,geophysical and geochemical characteristics of the orefield,the rock mass boundary of medium-grained black mica granite and fine-grained two-mica granite is divided,the spatial distribution shapes of the concealed fracture structures of the orefield is analyzed and the ore-bearing features of the fracture structures is discussed roughly,so as to provide some reliable reference for further conducting deep prospecting work of uranium deposit in the orefield.
