Abstract: The iron grade of a copper mine′s heavy medium product is 56.24%,the sulfur content is as high as 9.34%,and 95.72% of sulfur is in the form of pyrite. In order to obtain the iron concentrate with sulfur content lower than 2%,the ore was processed according to the principle of grindinglow intensity magnetic separationflotation.Experimental results show that under the optimum parameters of the test, heavy media products after one stage grinding (-0.043 mm 85%) one roughing one cleaning low intensity magnetic separationone roughing two scavenging desulfurizing flotation process processing, iron concentrate with production rate of 45.23%,sulfur content is 1.52%,total iron grade of 66.50% can be obtained, can be used as raw materials for the subsequent steel smelting of ore matching, which can provide technical reference for utilization of such heavy medium product.
