Abstract: In order to scientifically analyze the safety of blasting operation in open-pit mines and im⁃ prove the reliability of evaluation results. From three aspects of blasting design, blasting construction and safety management, fifteen evaluation indexes were selected to construct the blasting safety evaluation in⁃ dex system of open-pit mine. The subjective weight of the index is obtained by the interval analytic hierar⁃ chy process, and the objective weight of the index is obtained by the interval entropy weight method. The minimum information entropy is used to combine the subjective weight and the objective weight to scientifi⁃ cally determine the weight of the evaluation index. Fully considering the actual fluctuation of the numerical interval of the evaluation index, the improved interval approximation model which conforms to the fluctua⁃ tion characteristics of the index interval is used to comprehensively analyze and evaluate the blasting safety of the open-pit mine, determine the overall blasting safety state of the open-pit mine, and analyze the safety state of the evaluation index. The model is used to analyze and evaluate the blasting safety of three open-pit mines. The blasting safety grades of three open-pit mines are Grade III,Grade IV and Grade III, respectively. The improvement measures are proposed for the more dangerous indexes of blasting safety in each open-pit mine, which effectively ensures the blasting safety of open-pit mines. Practice has proved that the improved interval approximation analysis is scientific and applicable in the evaluation of blasting safety in open-pit mines, which can provide targeted reference and guidance for the efficient improvement of blasting safety in open-pit mines.
