Research on Failure Mechanism of Deep Soft Rock Roadway and Application of Anchor Grouting-Grouting Reinforcement Technology

Abstract: The support of deep soft rock roadways is a key challenge for the safety and sustainable de⁃ velopment of mines. In response to the problems of support failure and continuous deformation and instabili⁃ ty of the surrounding rock in deep high-pressure and strongly-viscoelastic soft rock roadways,a self-de⁃ veloped new high-performance grouting material and an innovative "anchor grouting-grouting" integrated reinforcement technology were proposed and applied. This scheme improved the traditional separation of an⁃ choring and grouting support methods,achieving dual functions of active support and grouting channels through anchor rods (cables),and utilized the excellent permeability,early strength,and toughness of the new material for deep fissure filling and surrounding rock modification. Taking the coal conveyor blind shaft of a mine in Qinyuan,Shanxi Province as the engineering background,comprehensive methods such as drilling observation,loosening zone testing,rock mechanics experiments,and RMR evaluation were ad⁃ opted to analyze the deformation and failure mode,mechanism of the roadways,and the deficiencies of the original support. Numerical simulation was used to optimize the support parameters,and on-site tests were conducted for verification. The results show that the new grouting material has excellent mechanical proper⁃ties,and the optimized "anchor grouting-grouting" support scheme can significantly control the deforma⁃ tion of the surrounding rock. During the monitoring period,the maximum displacement of the roof and floor of the roadways was 103 mm,and the maximum displacement of the two sides was 171 mm. The test re⁃ sults indicate that the application of grouting anchor cables has significantly improved the bearing capacity of the surrounding rock of the roadways,reduced the deformation of the surrounding rock,and reliably en⁃ sured the long-term stability which provides an effective technical approach and theoretical reference for solving the stability problems of deep soft rock roadways.
