Abstract: In order to improve the recovery rate and concentrate grade of copper and sulfur in mag⁃ netic separation tailings of Chengchao Iron Mine,a systematic flotation process test is carried out to solve the problems of fine particle dispersion, poor floatability and easy slime of copper and sulfur in magnetic separation tailings. The test results show that the optimum reagent system is determined by the condition test as follows: the dosage of ethyl xanthate in mixed flotation is 90 g/t,the dosage of foaming agent 2# oil is 18 g/t.Lime is used to adjust the pH value of pulp in copper roughing, and the dosage of lime is 2 800 g/t. Activated carbon is used to remove the reagent from copper rough concentrate products in copper cleaning. The dosage of activated carbon is 45 g/t,and the dosage of Z-200 is 4 g/t.In the final closed-circuit test, copper concentrate with copper grade of 17.37% and copper recovery rate of 76.26% is obtained, and sul⁃ fur concentrate with sulfur grade of 46.70% and sulfur recovery rate of 86.23% is obtained. The recovery efficiency and concentrate grade of copper and sulfur in magnetic separation tailings are significantly im⁃ proved, which provides a feasible process scheme and theoretical basis for the resource utilization of Chengchao iron ore tailings.
