Determination of Trace Selenium in High Purity Manganese Tetroxide Based on Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry

In order to accurately and quickly determine the trace selenium in high purity manganese tetroxide,a method for rapid determination of trace selenium in manganese tetroxide by atomic fluorescence spectrometry was established according to the characteristics of selenium easy to react with hydrogen perox⁃ ide.By using potassium borohydride as a reducing agent,the selenium in the sample solution was reduced to hydrogen selenide,which effectively reduced the interference of the matrix on the determination of seleni⁃ um and improved the sensitivity and accuracy of the detection.Compared with other determination methods, this method has the advantages of short process,simple operation and good precision.The detection limit is 0.01 mg/kg,and the recovery rate is 95%~110%,which can meet the requirements of selenium content in high purity manganese tetroxide.
