The ventilation system of underground metal mines is adjusted with the change of mining se⁃ quence and mining method to meet the demand of safety ventilation.A large lead-zinc mine changed from one ore belt mining to synchronous mining of upper and lower ore belts, and the mining method was changed to upward horizontal layered approach filling mining method.Through the measurement and analysis of the ventilation system,it is concluded that the air consumption of 10,000 tons is small, the ventilation capacity is insufficient, the main fan and the ventilation network do not match, the air volume distribution is unrea⁃ sonable, and the new ore belt mining increases the use of wind and other issues. The overall comprehensive partition of the upper and lower ore belts is proposed to form a diagonal forced-exhaust ventilation scheme with central inlet and two wings return air,and the ventilation system is verified by Ventsim software. The en⁃ gineering application shows that the ventilation scheme meets the underground production demand of the mine.
