In order to improve the intelligent level of mine production and promote the deep integra⁃ tion of automation technology and mineral processing technology,aiming at the multiple challenges of im⁃ proving production efficiency,reducing energy consumption and optimizing process control in mineral pro⁃ cessing production,the mainstream implementation schemes of current automation technology in ore crush⁃ ing,grinding,flotation,dehydration and tailings treatment are introduced in detail. Then,the PID control algorithm,fuzzy control algorithm,neural network control algorithm,expert control algorithm and optimiza⁃ tion control algorithm for intelligent mineral processing are introduced. It is pointed out that artificial intelli⁃ gence,5G technology,big data and cloud computing,and Internet of things technology will be the main de⁃ velopment directions of automation technology in intelligent mineral processing in the future,and develop⁃ ment suggestions are put forward for the challenges and opportunities faced by automation technology in in⁃ telligent mineral processing.
